This article will explain how to configure your mailbox on Thunderbird.
Thunderbird is a completely free-to-use mail application, which is a great alternative to paid mail applications.
Please observe the following:

See steps:
1. Open Thunderbird
2. Under "Set Up Another Account" select "Email"
3. A new window will pop up:
Enter your details as follows:
- Name - Full Email address i.e you@yourdomainhere.africa
- Email Address - Full Email address i.e you@yourdomainhere.africa
- Password - *******
Now select "Configure manually ..."
4.) Mimic the following settings
Incoming:
Protocol - IMAP
Server: mail.yourdomainhere.africa
Port: 993
SSL encryption: SSL/TLS
Username: Full Email Address
Password: *******
Outgoing:
Protocol - SMTP
Server: mail.yourdomainhere.africa
Port: 465
SSL encryption: SSL/TLS
Username: Full Email Address
Password: *******
Now select "Re-test"
5. Confirm settings
- A green tick will appear verifying your setting were found when probing the server
- Select "Done" to complete the setup
